Design-build project for a 64,000 sq ft headquarters building to house Uniqema’s senior management staff. The four-story signature building is clad in French limestone and situated at the foot of the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

 


Wilmington, Delaware

Design features of this contemporary, six-story building include a two-story portico entrance and lobby; nine-foot high windows; and rooftop, balcony, and riverside terraces. Situated in the historic shipbuilding district, the site plan accomodates a landscaped pedestrian walkway connecting the adjacent street to the popular Christina Riverfront.

Wilmington, Delaware

The Renaissance Centre is a one square block mixed use complex at Market and King Streets in downtown Wilmington.  The project consists of 142,000 square feet of Class A office space, parking for 193 vehicles, a landscaped entrance plaza, and two-story lobby.  Completion is expected in the spring of 2007.

 


Wilmington, Delaware

Part of the Victorian complex of the 1804 Pennsylvania Building and 1807 Wilmington Train Station, this Furness designed building was renovated for ING DIRECT.  The interior design plan preserved the station master ticket window, ladies waiting room, and Victorian fireplaces and tile hearths.  Associate Architect – 1:1:6 Technologies, Inc.

New Castle, Delaware

The Plumbers & Pipefitters UA Local # 74 is developing a ±40,000 sf multi-purpose building that will be used as a training center, banquet hall, administrative, and recreational center.

 


Smyrna, Delaware

Located in the downtown historic district, the new Wellness Center was designed to relate to the recently restored Smyrna Opera House across the street.  The red brick and cast stone facade and stained shingles on the third floor wall are reminiscent of the architecture of the Victorian era.

 

 


Wilmington, Delaware

The natural slope of this urban site was utilized to accommodate street entrances on both the upper and lower sides. A ramp connecting parking lots provides access to a drive-through pharmacy for the first floor retailer. The remaining two floors of the 49,000 sq ft building are dedicated to office use.

 


Carney’s Point, New Jersey

Designed as a multi-tenant building for call centers, the 80,000 sq ft, two-story building features ten-foot ceilings and state-of-the-art data and communications infrastructure. The central skylit lobby atrium with geometric terrazzo floor creates a dramatic entrance to this high-tech, contemporary building.

 


Wilmington, Delaware

The three-story, 100,000 sq ft building was constructed in seven months. Situated at a highly traveled intersection and entrance to a major DuPont complex, it was imperative that the building be visually appealing, with all mechanical and service equipment shielded from view. Entrance is through a two-story portico leading to a cherry-paneled lobby.

 


Wilmington, Delaware

Originally constructed in 1885, the six-story building located on the Christina Riverfront accommodates ING’s direct telephone and internet banking activities. In retrofitting the building, great care was taken to expose the warmth and character of the brick and timber structure. The building operates on a 24-hour basis and contains state-of-the-art computer services, data cabling, teleconferencing, and audio-visual systems. New Castle, Delaware

The three-story office structure totals 150,000 sq ft and accommodates state-of-the-art computer workstations for 850 staff members. The building is distinguished by a two-story lobby, surrounded by conference, lounge, and team meeting rooms. Large expanses of windows maximize daylight, and a wide art gallery corridor leads to the rear lounge and patio overlooking a one-acre landscaped lake. Exterior precast panels combine exposed aggregate and sand-blasted finishes.

 


Wilmington, Delaware

The 220,000 sq ft, fourteen-story office building includes a computer operations center, executive suites, full-service 280-seat cafeteria, and a garden courtyard cafe. The first five floors of the building house a 500-car parking garage.

 


Wilmington, Delaware

This major renovation of a 1960s high rise included a partial reskinning of the structure and upgrades to the lobby, stairs, and common areas. A curtain wall of prefabricated granite panels was utilized for the base. New lighting, glazing, chrome window accents, and an identity package completed the exterior improvements. A swing space plan was developed to minimize disruption to tenants, as the building was partially occupied during renovation.

New Castle County, Delaware

Comprised of two, four-story buildings, this office complex totals 180,000 sq ft. The site plan takes advantage of the sloping topography by providing a level of covered parking under each building. The project is distinctive in its full landscaping design and use of a striking sculpture garden that links the two buildings.

Convenient to Philadelphia and Wilmington, this three-story, 75,000 sq ft office building has a precast concrete and glass curtain exterior. The design offers flexible floor plans, a marble-clad atrium lobby, and below-structure parking.

 


Wilmington, Delaware

The mixed-use urban complex consists of three buildings: the original eight-story Delaware Avenue building, a new ten-story core and lobby addition, and a 540-car parking deck. The three-year project included renovations to the lobby, elevators, and 80,000 sq ft of office space; parking deck construction; replacement of a 1960 curtain wall with granite panel system; retail and service complex development; and plaza landscaping.
