We're Celebrating Our 20th Anniversary!
The date July 7, 2007 marks our twentieth anniversary. Founded in 1987 with
a strong foundation in planning and a determination to maintain a hands-on
approach to all projects, Tevebaugh Associates has grown to become known and
respected locally.
We're proud of our history and achievements, among them the designs of
Corporate Plaza on the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue to the recent
Renaissance Centre in downtown Wilmington; our early support of the
Wilmington Riverfront development; the recognition of the Frank Furness
Railroad District as an important
architectural treasure; and our support of the design and architectural
community through our involvement with AIA Delaware.
Friends of the Furness Railroad District
Tevebaugh Associates is proud to be involved with the establishment of the Friends of the Furness Railroad District (FFRD). The FFRD was created to increase community awareness of the cultural and historical value of the train station vicinity, including its architectural significance and importance as a major gateway into the City of Wilmington. In addition, FFRD will advocate for and influence improvements to the train station vicinity. The Friends of the Furness Railroad District are organizing an 18 month long celebration of the train station’s 100th birthday, starting on January 28, 2007 and running through July 8, 2008.
Project Wins Ten Design Awards
The Riverfront Parking Deck, one of a number of Wilmington revitalization projects undertaken by Tevebaugh Associates, has received ten design awards and was featured in two national publications, Traditional Building and Parking magazines. It was designed to complement adjacent historic railroad buildings by the noted Victorian architect, Frank Furness. The parking deck presents a handsome streetscape of brick with colored mortar joints, granite, cast stone cornice, and architectural details like wrought iron grille work featuring the seal of the City of Wilmington. |
